New Orleans was spared from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, but our neighbors in Texas were not so lucky. Texans were there for us for us twelve years ago, and it is now our turn to help them any way we can.
Many of you have asked what you can do. Right now the highest priority needs are for direct financial support to the agencies assisting in rescue and recovery efforts. I’ve listed several of those organizations below. As we receive word that rescue efforts have moved to recovery status, I will share additional organizations that will be collecting items and supplies to help those who have been affected.
This is the time for the spirit of New Orleans to shine brighter than any political divides and for us to unite as Americans to help a neighbor in need.
